Compass

Find your direction with your phone

📱 This tool requires a magnetic sensor and works only on mobile. Not available on PC.
FAQ
How does the compass work?
Your phone's magnetic sensor (magnetometer) detects Earth's magnetic field to show direction. It displays the azimuth of where the top of your screen points.
My compass is inaccurate
Nearby metal, magnets, or electronics can interfere. Calibrate by moving your phone in a figure-8 motion, or move away from metal objects.
True north vs magnetic north?
The compass points to magnetic north, which differs from true north by a few degrees (declination) depending on location.
Why doesn't it work on PC?
PCs lack magnetic sensors. Use a smartphone. iOS requires granting sensor permission.

About the Compass

The compass uses your smartphone magnetic sensor to display direction (N/E/S/W). Useful for hiking, photography, and orientation.

It shows the azimuth of where the top of your screen points, in degrees and compass direction. Sensor-based, so it works on mobile only and can be affected by nearby metal or magnets. iOS requires granting sensor permission.
