Why does a higher refresh rate matter?
More updates per second mean smoother scrolling and gaming. At 120Hz motion blur is roughly half of 60Hz — compare how crisp the moving bar looks.
The reading fluctuates
Browser workload can drop frames momentarily. Wait a few seconds for the average to settle — a reading of 143–145 means a 144Hz monitor.
