How to Measure Your Finger
StepHow
1Wrap string or a thin paper strip once around the base of the finger
2Mark where it overlaps and measure the length in mm
3Choose 'Circ. mm' above and enter the length
4If your knuckle is larger, check that the ring will pass over it

Fingers swell in the evening and in heat and shrink in the cold. Measure 2–3 times a day and go up a half size for bands wider than 6 mm.

How ring size conversion works

Every ring sizing system is based on the ring's inner diameter or circumference. The US uses numbers, the UK and Australia use letters, Europe uses the circumference in mm and Japan/Korea use their own numbered scale.

Enter any one value — finger circumference, inner diameter, US or Japanese size — to convert to all of them, and use the chart to compare US 3 to 13.
