Slope Calculator

Grade as %, angle, ratio + level mode

Slope / Grade Calculator 📐
Enter run and rise to get slope as percent (%), angle (°), and ratio (1:n). A level mode lets you measure by tilting your phone. For drainage, roads, and ramps.

FAQ
How is slope calculated?
Rise ÷ run × 100 = percent. For example, rising 0.2m over 10m = 2% grade. Angle = arctan(rise/run); ratio shows run:rise as 1:n.
Percent, angle, or ratio?
Drainage uses %, roads use % or degrees, roofs use ratio (1:n). This tool shows all three.
How does level mode work?
Tap Start and rest your phone on the surface; the sensor shows tilt in degrees and percent. No data is stored.
Level mode not working?
iOS needs permission, and some desktops lack motion sensors. It works best on Chrome mobile; otherwise enter run/rise manually.
Drainage grade standards?
Vary by use (e.g. floor drains often ≥1-2%). Check local codes; this is a reference tool.
