FAQ
What are tides?
Tides are the rise (high tide) and fall (low tide) of sea level about twice a day, caused by the moon and sun. Check them before fishing, mudflat trips, or island travel.
What are high and low tide?
High tide is when water is highest; low tide is when it is lowest. There are usually two of each per day.
What does the height number mean?
It is sea level in centimeters. Higher numbers mean higher water. Mudflat trips suit low tide; fishing is often best when water is moving.
Is the data accurate?
It is official tide prediction data from the Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Agency (KHOA). Astronomical tides are precise, though actual levels vary with weather.
