How do I display purple screen full screen?

The screen keeps dimming when I use it as a light.
Turn on keep screen awake. It uses the browser's Screen Wake Lock API and works in recent versions of Chrome, Edge and Safari. If your browser does not support it the option is hidden, so raise your device's sleep timeout instead.
It is too bright. Can I dim it?
Use the brightness slider. For lighting, 30 to 60 per cent usually looks best because it adds colour without blowing out skin. For pixel testing leave it at 100 per cent, otherwise you are judging an adjusted colour rather than the panel.
What can I do with the saved PNG?
Set it as a wallpaper, drop it into a video editor as a background clip, or print it as a colour reference. You can enter any resolution you like and the file is generated on your device.
The colour looks different from other screens.
Panels vary in gamut and calibration, so the same value renders differently. Night mode and blue light filters shift everything warmer, so turn them off if you need the colour to be accurate.

Purple Screen

Purple is popular for lighting effects precisely because it is uncommon in daylight. Formed by driving the red and blue subpixels together, it rarely occurs in natural scenes, so a purple cast immediately reads as staged or stylised. At low brightness a purple screen works as an accent light in a dark room.

Using a screen as a light

Using a display as a light source is the standard workaround when there is no ring light to hand. A laptop or monitor already sits directly in front of you, so the angle is natural, and the large emitting area gives soft shadows. Full brightness usually blows out skin detail, so drop it to 30-60 per cent and use the colour temperature slider to set the tone. Turn on keep screen awake so the display does not sleep part way through.

Using it to test a panel

For testing, leave brightness at 100 per cent and colour temperature neutral β€” otherwise you are inspecting an adjusted colour rather than the panel itself. Turn off night mode and blue light filters too. To check thoroughly, cycle through red, green, blue, white and black; the dead pixel test page does that automatically.

Saving a PNG

The export here builds the image in your browser rather than downloading a pre-made file from a server. A canvas is filled with the current colour and saved, which means any resolution works and whatever brightness and colour temperature you set is baked into the file.
